Senior Software Engineer

Small, established software company that specializes in solutions to the Restaurant & Hospitality, Beverage Alcohol, Brand Management and National Accounts industries is seeking an experienced programmer. Our entrepreneurial environment will allow the right candidate to thrive and grow with our organization. The qualified candidate must have proven experience in developing enterprise class software.

The primary responsibility of the candidate is to design, program and support our growing catalog of web-based software applications. This position will require a strong technical background and the proven ability to work with customers in aquiring requirements, installing and customizing software and supporting the applications.

The Job and Your Experience:

• College degree plus at least 3 years of experience in software development
• Strong understanding of web-based software solutions
• Ability to self manage projects and relationships
• Represent the organization at conferences, tradeshows and other external events.
• Works with company executives to help set and meet technical objectives
• Works closely with sales resources to determine specs and set timeframes
• Maintain honesty and integrity in everything you do

Required Technical Skills:
Previous knowledge and experience with web-based applications that are written using open source technologies.

• PHP (4+ & strong understanding of classes)
• JavaScript
• MySQL (preferably 5+ on Linux)
• Apache (preferably 2+ on Linux)
• Linux (preferably Fedora or RedHat)
• DHTML
• CSS
• Internet Explorer and Firefox (understanding the differences and how to make web-based applications work in both environments)
